Lawman & Co began with Katie in 2019, from a little studio in Bangalow and a love of creating beautiful things with her own two hands.
​
Long before Lawman & Co became what it is today, there was a love of fabric, sewing and a quiet dream of creating a life that felt a little slower. One filled with flowers growing in the garden, mornings spent at home, little ones running barefoot and beautiful clothes hanging in the wardrobe. That dream became the foundation for everything Lawman & Co would grow into.

When Katie became a mum, that dream took on a whole new meaning. Motherhood brought a new appreciation for the little things, getting dressed in something that makes you feel beautiful, matching with your little one, picking flowers from the garden and finding beauty in the everyday. It also made Katie realise how much she wanted clothing that worked with women through the different seasons of motherhood, rather than asking women to dress around their changing bodies and lives.
And so Lawman & Co began to take shape. Designed with soft, natural fabrics, feminine silhouettes and thoughtful details, our pieces are created to move with you through pregnancy, breastfeeding and postpartum, while still making you feel like yourself. Alongside our women's collections, creating matching pieces for mums and their little ones has become one of the most special parts of what we do.​​​​

Our collections are inspired by the world around us and the life we dream of creating. Flowers are a constant source of inspiration, from the gardens we love to our many days spent photographing amongst flower fields. We are drawn to the romance of a slower life, to heirloom pieces, natural fabrics and clothing that feels beautiful without feeling too precious.

Being part of our local community has become another special part of the Lawman & Co story. You’ll often find us at local markets throughout the Northern Rivers, surrounded by other small businesses, makers, mums and like minded women. We love the conversations, the familiar faces and the feeling of being part of something bigger than the clothes themselves. We’ve also loved opening our community up through mother’s groups and little gatherings, creating spaces for women to connect, share stories and enjoy a slower moment together. These connections are a reminder of why we started in the first place.

At its heart, Lawman & Co is about more than getting dressed. It is about the little moments that make up a life. The dress you wore while carrying your baby. The outfit you matched with your daughter. The morning you spent barefoot in the garden. The market morning spent chatting with a friend. The favourite piece you reach for year after year, something feminine without feeling fussy and comfortable enough for everyday.
We hope to create clothing that becomes part of those memories, pieces to be worn, loved and remembered for years to come.
